Throughout the year the Chicago Tribune newsroom hosts several event series that provide citizens of the community a chance to engage on important topics.
Event Series Include:
- TribU: A series of classes and seminars centered on making the most out of life. Topics include food & wine, photography, and more (January – December 2011)
- Chicago Forward: Six panel discussions with thought leaders involved in important policy questions of the day (January – December 2011)
- Ask Amy: Audiences ask questions of the Chicago Tribune’s nationally syndicated columnist, Amy Dickinson (January – April 2011)
- Literary Series: Books and Literature events reach audiences seeking illumination and education (February – November 2011)
Chicago Live! Event Series
Colorful columnist and Chicago treasure Rick Kogan hosts 24 shows presented in a series of 4-6 week seasons at the Chicago Theater Downstairs. In partnership with The Second City, these 90 minute live radio tapings and post-show receptions are a unique mix of Chicago news, sports, comedy, and the arts.
